Welcome to Oasis Tea Rooms, a delightful café nestled in the scenic surroundings of Rangitata, New Zealand. This charming pit stop serves as a sanctuary for weary travelers, locals, and food enthusiasts alike. Renowned for its hearty breakfasts and freshly made goodies, Oasis Tea Rooms is where comfort food meets a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Upon entering, you’re greeted with the intoxicating aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods, crafted with love by the dynamic duo, Gail and Ian. With customer reviews echoing satisfaction, it’s clear that this café has mastered the art of hospitality. The cooked breakfasts and made-to-order toasties, available until 1 PM, are not just meals—they are cherished rituals for many patrons.
There’s something undeniably satisfying about enjoying a homemade pie at Oasis Tea Rooms. As noted by Craig McCafferty, the café is a favorite among motorists and truckers, offering easy parking and quick service. Try the homemade beef stroganoff pie, a must-have highlighted by James Leaper, which promises to hit the spot when hunger strikes. Pair it with one of their coffees, and you’ve got the perfect break during a long drive.
The baked goods deserve special mention. Susan Holden raves about the array of pies and sweets, particularly the lemon tart with its indulgent shortbread crust. If you have a sweet tooth or just need a little pick-me-up, this treat will not disappoint. Oasis Tea Rooms also boasts an impressive selection of tray bakes that cater to all things sweet and savory.
Visitors are not only treated to scrumptious food but also to a cozy place where they can take a moment to relax and watch the world go by. Phil Radford aptly describes this experience, emphasizing the quality of both the food and the people behind the counter. Indeed, the genuine warmth of the staff at Oasis Tea Rooms makes one feel right at home.

Great breakfast cafe, friendly staff, popular with motorists and truckers alike. Do a cooked breakfast and toasties made to order upto 1pm, good selections of tray bakes and and pies. Plenty of parking both sides of road.

One of the best pies I have ever had. The people were very nice and friendly. Chocolate milkshake was very nice, caramel one was lacking in flavour a bit.

Gail and Ian were a delight. He makes all of the considerable array of baked goods. Many kinds of meat pies and sweets. I highly recommend the lemon tart with its shortbread crust. Perfect eggs made by Gail.

Nice couple running the cafe, coffee was very hot and the slices were delicious. Highly recommend the licorice allsorts slice, it was fantastic. We sat outside in the sunshine on the picnic table listening to the traffic thundering by.
